Busy Bee's

Sydney found these red Dorothy shoes (I think they were Lauryn's) and now she thinks she is a tap dancer. It is so cute, she taps around the house and does a little dance. She is extremely proud of them and we can hardly get her to take them off.
Yesterday my dad took Evan and Sydney for a couple of hours in the afternoon. They went to his house and watched a movie. Sydney colored with markers the entire time and Evan watched the movie. Evan told me he wanted Papa to watch the movie with him, but Papa wanted to take a nap. Good thing they are pretty entertained by markers and a movie. We were having company later in the evening, so I asked my dad to give them supper before he brought them home. Evan told me that Papa and Grandma have the best food. My mom told me they had bologna sandwiches and candy. They are so easily pleased!! They had fun, as always and it was a nice little break for me.
While I was home with the girls I was trying to get our floors cleaned. We are in the middle of having some cracked tile and grout replaced. Mara and Olivia would follow me from room to room. I went into the den and they followed me and removed all of the cushions from the couch and took the floor vents out of the floor. Then I went into the laundry room and they started the washer. While I was in the bathroom they cleaned out the cupboard and started ripping apart the paper towels rolls. They also just figured out how to flush the toilet. As you can tell I didn't get much cleaning done. They are so busy. They usually don't get into stuff like that. I think they must have been bored with me trying to clean and Evan and Sydney weren't home to keep them occupied.
Today the kids went to Cori's and I don't have to go into work until 1:30. I ran a couple of errands and got some groceries. I rarely get a day without kids, so it was a nice little treat to get some stuff done. I'm off to enjoy the last hour of my quiet house.

We actually had to drill screws into our air vents throughout the entire house because Quentin would pull them all out & then throw crap down the vent! He was so mad he couldn't lift them up anymore. Hope you got lots done on your day off!

Evan did the same thing. All of a sudden you would hear a ball fall down in the vent. We might have to try screwing them down. I was folding laundry yesterday and Mara tried to put a pair of my underwear down the vent.
