Kyle and I went to The Big Brothers Big Sisters Fund Raiser on Friday night. It included wine tasting, a silent auction, live auction, and dinner. It was at the new restaurant Mi Familigia downtown. Kyle's mom just started working for Big Brothers Big Sisters and had been helping plan this event for a couple of weeks. All of her hard work paid off. We had a really great time. Kyle and I sat at the same small round table and ate dinner with Robyne Robinson and Jeff Passolt from channel 9 news. We also sat with Irv Cross (former NFL player and sports anchor, now Shari's boss). We had front row seats for the live auction that was held after dinner. I wanted to bid on one of the trips or airline tickets that they were auctioning off. Instead Kyle bid on Vikings tickets and the opportunity to meet the Fox Sport anchors in the Fox Sport compound. EXCITING I know:)
On Saturday the kids spent the entire day outside. It was so gorgeous. A great day to open some windows and get some spring cleaning done. I didn't get much done inside the house because I was without water all afternoon (my Dad was hooking up our water softener). My vacuum is also in the shop. I know this may sound stupid, but I haven't had a vacuum for over a week and it's killing me. I just found out that it's going to cost me over $100 to fix the stupid thing. I sucked up one of Evan's socks and Kyle took it apart to get the sock out and broke it. Saturday evening we got the grill out and had a neighborhood BBQ. I'm glad we did since it rained all day on Sunday.
Sunday we had Baptism for little Henry Sand. Kyle is his proud Godfather. He is the cutest little guy. I can't believe he is 3 months already. He wore Evan's baptismal outfit. I could hardly believe that Evan was once that small. They get big so fast.
