Finally on the mend!!

After 16 days with a cold, cough, and sore throat that I couldn't get rid of, I went to the Dr. a second time. I couldn't hardly take it anymore!! I called the Dr. on Friday morning and went in for some labs on Friday afternoon. By late Friday afternoon they called with the results that I had mono. Lucky for me the best thing for mono is rest (How do you rest with four kids??). I told the nurse I couldn't take this sore throat for one more minute and I honestly felt like I was swallowing razor blades. I was starting to get really mad that I felt so crappy and they wouldn't do anything to help me. I saw a nurse practitioner and not my regular Doctor, which I probably will never do again. I guess antibiotics are gold at CentraCare. Maybe they wouldn't have helped my throat, but maybe they would have. They finally gave me a steroid drug to help with my throat and some pain meds. I felt better within 4 hours of taking the steroid. I am a little angry that it took some serious b****ing for me to feel better, but I'm glad I did because I was ready to go insane.

Cory just went in today too and got the same cough meds with codeine that you had last weekend...so now we'll have to watch him for mono...since I know you were making out! Take care of yourself and get as much rest as you can. Hope you feel better by Saturday!!
