We had another fun-filled weekend at The Wahlin's. Friday night we had pizza with the neighbors and watched Brett Favre make his big debut with the Vikings. Kyle didn't feel well, which made it an early evening.
Saturday was absolutely beautiful!! We started the day out by going to a birthday party for a neighbor girl at the Sauk Rapids splash park. The kids enjoyed playing in the water and on the huge playground. Saturday we got together with some friends and started at The Blue Line and then headed to another Sartell street dance. Kyle's parents watched the kids and we enjoyed a night out.
Sunday was another busy day with a birthday party for Cade and Nora. Another great day to spend some time outside!! Kyle spent most of his afternoon and evening "working on the truck." It seems someone (I don't think it was me) ran over a can of gray spray paint. The lower half of our "white" Suburban had a large amount of gray paint from the front right wheel all the way to the back. Kyle and our neighbor Curt scrubbed the truck with gasoline on rags for close to 3 hours. Everything smelt like gas. They eventually got it all off and it looks great, but what a pain. After Kyle got done with the truck I noticed that the car had a flat tire. Do they say bad things happen in threes? I hope our dryer being out for the last 9 days was number 1. The part finally came in and as of 1 pm I have a dryer again.
I am trying to get Evan and Sydney ready for school. I pretty much have all of the big things done except shoe shopping. I went to Albertville last Wednesday night with my parents and Sydney and didn't buy a thing. I was so disappointed and of course Kyle was happy. I took all four kids to get haircuts this morning. I never thought the day would come when I could just sit and relax (anywhere)!! They were all great. I think the sucker at the end helps.
