Sydney turned the big 4 on January 7th! She was pretty excited to bring treats and celebrate with her school friends on Thursday. When I initially asked her what she wanted to bring for a treat to share she told me CHEESE?? She quickly changed her mind to M & M cookies. She said she had a great day at school and even came home with a birthday crown that she is still wearing today. We had a great dinner and birthday cake on Thursday night. A chocolate cake with chocolate frosting and sprinkles per Syd's request. Papa and Grandma came over with a few gifts. The highlight was the pair of roller skates that have been banging up my walls and woodwork ever since!!
Friday she got to celebrate with her daycare friends at Cori's. Today we had some friends over for cake and ice cream and headed to Bounce Depot. The kids had a blast!! They absolutely love that place. They played for one hour and were completely exhausted. Putting them to bed tonight was so easy. Especially, since Mara and Olivia never got a chance to take a nap. The party continues next weekend when we have our family over to celebrate three birthday's. Mara and Olivia turn 3 in a few weeks. It's so hard to believe how fast they grow. I do have to admit that life is getting a bit easier for us. I hope everyone had a great holiday season with family and friends. Stay tuned... I hope to be a little better about posting in 2010:)
