Where does time go?

It's been awhile since my last blog update!! Where have we been? Busy!! Here are some highlights...
* The weekend after Easter Kyle and I ran in the Earthday Half Marathon. It was a beautiful day for a 13 mile run. Kyle finished in 1:53. I finished in 2:05:03. I added the 3 seconds at the end because I finished 6 seconds faster this year! YEAH!
* Sydney started gymnastics. She is adorable in her little leotard. She gets so excited for Monday afternoons. I get off of work a little early to pick just her up from daycare. She loves it!! I am pretty impressed with the program. They do the bars and beam. She is learning how to do cart-wheels and stand on her head. I may have a little gymnast:)
* Evan plays flag football on Friday afternoons. He is always playing sports with Kyle and the neighbor kids, but I do think he enjoys football the most. He is pretty quick, something that he gets from Kyle. He will start Babe Ruth Baseball next week.
* Mara and Olivia are getting so big and so mature. They are definitely not my babies anymore. They are always busy playing Polly Pockets and dressing up in "pretty dresses." I signed them up for "Sports Sampler" this summer. They will play t-ball, soccer, kickball, and football. I'm sure they would much rather do gymnastics where they could wear the "pretty pink outfits." We'll see...
* A couple weeks ago we had a neighborhood progressive dinner. The night had a Mexican theme. We went to four different houses in our neighborhood with 12 couples. It was a fun evening and people already requested a 2nd Annual Progressive Dinner Party.
* Cori and I had our annual garage sale. The weather could have been a lot nicer for us. We still did well and I got rid of a lot of stuff. I already have a tote started for next year.
* I had a great Mother's Day!! I have some pretty awesome kids. I got to have breakfast in bed on Sunday morning. Sydney held my glass of milk while I ate my pancakes and Evan held my fork when I took a sip of milk. LOL! They kept asking if I was having the best Mother's Day. The girls each made me a card and bookmark at Cori's. Evan brought home a large envelope full of Mother's Day projects he made for me at school. The best was a Kindergarten Cookbook that his class made. Each child picked out three of their favorite recipes and his teacher wrote them down word for word. I have to share because it's so cute!
Evan's Recipe for Macaroni
Well, you put it on a pan and, like, you boil
it and stuff. And then you can, like, mix
it, and stir it a little. Then you, like,
leave it on the stove for a little while.
And then you can like, take it off and let it cool. Then you can eat it.
Pepperoni Pizza
You, like, get some little pizza stuff and put cheese on it.
Then you bake it for, like, 7 minutes or 7 seconds! Then
you put the pepperoni, like, things on.
Then you give it to people.
Hot dog
You open the bag and you take a hotdog
and then you put it on a plate.
Then you put it in the microwave, like, 30 seconds.
Then take'em out and let it cool.
And then your parents will give the hotdog to you
and then you eat it.

We met my parents at Lacasita for lunch. After lunch my parents took the kids to pick out a gift for me. They picked out a potted plant for my front step. I think my mom had a little to do with that. My dad said Evan wanted to buy a $700 swimming raft at Sam's Club. I would have liked either:) After the kids got home Mara, Olivia and I took a nap. After nap we went over to Kyle's parents for a BBQ. It was a great day!
