Bye Bye Papa

I have sad news to report. My Dad got a job. After 4 years of coming over and helping me out with the kids, he will report to a new full-time position at The St. Cloud Technical College on Thursday morning. I will be absolutely lost without him. I am tearing up just typing this. For those of you that don't know my Dad helps me out tremendously. He comes over everyday I have off to help watch the kids so I can either run errands, shower, or do housework. The kids will be heartbroken once they realize Papa won't be coming over for morning snack with donuts or cookies. Most days he comes in the afternoon to help watch the kids outside and of course bring them candy. He thinks they will loose weight now that he won't be around as much. I realize I am being selfish, but I will truly miss his company during the day. I will miss the kids faces everyday when they see the white Olds 88 pull up in front of the house. They usually stand by the door and yell "Papa" until he comes in. He has mixed feelings about working again since he has been retired for 5 years. My Mom on the other hand is glad that he will be working. I am happy for him, but again sad for my loss.
