Where did the summer go?

The summer just flew by!! Evan starts school already on Wednesday. We had his open house last Thursday night at St. Michael's. It was fun to go to his classroom and see his teacher again and meet some of the kids that will be in his class. He will be going to preschool three days a week. There are ten kids in his class. Three of the kids were in his class last year and Grace Sand will now be in his class. I think he was pretty excited that he knows a lot of the kids and it probably won't be as scary for him to go on the first day. He is a very outgoing child, but gets a little nervous for new/different things. I think the hardest part will be for me having to go and pick him and the neighbor Riley up with the three girls. It will be a lot of in and out of car seats.
We had a pretty laid back weekend. We took the kids to Space Aliens for dinner on Friday night. They were very good!! Taking the kids places is getting easier, or we are getting braver!! They had fun and Kyle and I enjoyed the night out. It is nice to just eat and go and not have to worry about preparing dinner and the clean up. After dinner we went to the neighbor's to celebrate their daughter's birthday. We ended up playing domino's while the kids watched a movie.
Saturday we did some things around the house and went to a neighborhood get together. The kids went to my parents for a couple of hours. We came home and then put the kids to bed and then I went out to the Sartell street dance with a friend. The weather was great, even a little chilly.
Today is just more cleaning around the house. Kyle and I just got done staining our front porch. Something we should have probably done last summer. It really needed it!! It turned out a little darker than I was hoping, so I am hoping it might fade a little. Tonight we are doing dinner at my parents house. I love it!! We come home to a clean house around 7:30 and do baths and get the kids to bed and Kyle and I watch Big Brother (the highlight of my day!!).
