"The show"

I have been so bad about posting!! Sorry:( There really isn't much action around our house lately. I have a hard time coming up with things to inform you about!! Well, we did have some "action" the other night. Our neighbors behind us had their back door on their deck wide open for two days. I hadn't seen them in awhile and she told me at our Halloween Party that they were going on a trip, but never told me when. I wasn't sure if it was the door going into their garage or their house. I don't know them very well, so I didn't want to open their fence and walk up on their deck to make sure things were okay. Instead every time I looked out the window it bothered me. I was actually thinking of all of the little creators that might be looking for a place to warm up. Anyway, two days went by with the door wide open. Katie was home and told me to call the non-emergency number and inform the Sartell Police. I did just that. They thanked me for calling and told me they would send someone to check it out. My kids thought it was the coolest thing in the world. The police officer had his back against the house, holding his flashlight, and gripping his gun holster. He then went back to his SUV and called me and told me that it was the door leading into their house that was open. He wanted to know how long they had been gone and if I knew how to get a hold of them. I told him what I knew, which wasn't much. He then told me that they had to search the house and more officers were on their way. Evan asked me at one point if we could make some popcorn for the "show." Katie sat on the couch the entire time playing DS and told us that we were complete nerds. She said she hates an audience while she is doing her police thing. Who can hate four little kids standing at a sliding glass door with their faces pressed up against the glass in aw? I myself wasn't that obvious, but Katie may disagree. It was fun and kept the kids entertained for about 2 hours. I never heard the end result. The way it looked it wasn't a break in.

Too funny! Maybe, you can use the survey tool on the blog and give us a better description of your stealthiness and we can vote(: jk So, what made you think it wasn't a break in? If nothing was wrong why would they need to contact them? Was it the people north of you? Super entertaining!
